Graduate International Travel Grant

UNM Global Education Office and Your UNM Bookstores are pleased to co-sponsor the Passport to Success Scholarship for Graduate Students! This scholarship program is designed to increase the number of UNM graduate students able to participate in international programs. Grantees will be encouraged to share their knowledge and experiences upon return within the university community, as well as with communities and organizations in New Mexico and beyond

Students can be awarded between $500 and $1500 to use towards their study abroad experience.

Eligibility

Participating in a UNM approved study abroad program or travel opportunity. This can include, but is not limited to:

  • International exchange program
  • Short-term or faculty-led study abroad program
  • International research opportunity that is supported by your academic department
  • Attending an approved conference, symposium, or workshop overseas
  • International internship or service-learning program
  • Approved, intensive language study program

Application Deadlines

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. It is recommended that you apply at least one semester in advance but at minimum, two months before departure to ensure there is sufficient time for review and processing.
