Harvard World Model United Nations (WorldMUN) is the world's most internationally diverse college-level Model UN conference, and the largest outside of the United States and Canada. Every year, 2,000+ currently enrolled university students from over 110 countries attend WorldMUN in a different location around the world. Past locations include Singapore, Puebla (Mexico), Geneva (Switzerland), Beijing (China), Belo Horizonte (Brazil), Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt), Taipei (Taiwan), The Hague (Netherlands), Panama City (Panama), and Madrid (Spain).

WorldMUN hosts twenty simulated committees from the United Nations, featuring a multitude of member states, international organizations, and related governmental and non-governmental bodies. Our committee sessions are directed by an extremely involved dais staff, providing the perfect setting for participants to discuss some of the most pressing problems of our generation.

Through lively and informed debate, exciting social events, and a unique conference spirit, the WorldMUN experience reaches across cultures and borders to inspire both cooperation and friendship

Academics

There are various learning outcomes. Students engage in high level problem solving, team building, professional writing and public speaking during the conference, which are the learning outcomes our organization aims to see improvement in. The collegiate conferences are very similar to real United Nations conference in substance and level of debate, so delegates get a real world experience that is not offered in a classroom setting. Many delegates that participate in the conference are from countries that are facing the exact challenges being debated in the conference, so students have a chance not only to work on solving these global issues, but meet with people who have experienced them.There is no UNM credit offered for participation, we are a Chartered Student Organization.

Location

The WorldMUN 2023 conference will take place in Paris, France. The conference begins with opening ceremonies on Sunday, March 12th, followed by committee sessions beginning Monday thru Thursday, with closing ceremonies taking place Thursday afternoon.

Housing

Housing will be booked for each participant by the program leaders, housing will be airbnb or hostel.

Costs

Program Costs

Participants are required to pay a $250 fee. This covers registration and housing costs. Participants will be responsible for paying for airfare, meals, ground transportation, insurance and any optional activities. Payment is due January 22, 2023. Payments will be paid to the World Affairs Delegation.
